Tree from Sewing Room Scraps …

….. and a chopstick!

The base is a shiny gold cotton reel with some green or red thread left on it.

The cop stick is jammed and glued into the top of the reel.

Scrap one inch wide strips of torn fabric are tied around the chop stick/trunk and may be trimmed to size.

Glue a bead with a large centre hole onto the top of the chopstick.

Tie a bow in a scrap 2 inch wide strip of red tartan fabric and glue to the top of the cotton reel.

I might add that this is not the most stable tree in the collection …. cutting about a third of the length from the chop stick would make it more stable and look more balanced!
