Interior of Magic Cave.

Somewhere amongst the trees is a combustion heater.

One of the good things about being south of the equator is that the fire-place, heater or combustion heater doesn’t need to be lit during the Christmas season.

We miss out on roasting chestnuts, Yule Logs and snow, but we don’t have to worry about Father Christmas getting burnt …. well, maybe sunburnt!

Most of the items on the shelves in the background have a Christmas flavour.

Our house was dubbed the Magic Cave by one of my sisters, and was billed as that when we opened the house to the public before Christmas a few years ago.
