Window Garland with Tartan Bow

A garland with sprays of leaves and acorns has been used in the spare bedroom  for about twelve years.

The tartan bows were already a few years old when I purchased the garland. I had found the fabric in a sale, and cut strips about 6 – 7 inches wide, using the tartan as a cutting guide. I neatened the long edges with a wide zigzag stitch on with my sewing machine and cut the ends into v shapes. The strip was threaded though a key ring and tied into a bow.
