The Family Jewels

The decorations on this tree are broken bits and pieces of jewelery, pre-owned by assorted, mostly female, members of my family.

There are brooches, pendants, broken chains, earrings, necklaces, watches … some of the latter donated by Butch, and a collection of Monthly Medals … also donated by Butch from winnings at the golf club. (Many more  and they will need their own tree!)

Only one item has been purchased … a metal red rose wreath from a second hand shop for a few dollars.

The tree is about to be stripped of the trims … it is one i made, and the trunk has broken. I have to decide whether I repair or pull it apart and use a thicker dowel for the trunk.

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.
