The Bottom Half

On a wet weekend in June me and my siblings, with assorted children and in-laws, got together at Dad’s house to tidy up the garden.

Too wet outdoors, so we decided to clean out the sheds.

Everything Christmas was placed in my pile to take home, but I rejected a very dusty top of a Christmas tree because there was no bottom.

Over the next few months we cleared the inside of the house as Dad decided to put it on the market. I found a Christmas tree and brought it home, only to discover it was missing the top bit.

Just before I pulled it apart to use the foliage for a garland I tried playing with the shape of the tree, and decided it would work as a short, wide tree!

Shown partly decorated.
